Long Time, No Post!

Has it been two months already? The boys were two months old on the 27th, and they have their two month check-up and shots tomorrow. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. (I want to thank Lindsey for pointing out that I skipped a week of posting. I will do better from now on!)

Anyway, to start off this week, I have a picture that I forgot to put on my last post. It is so fun to watch the boys. I don't know if all babies do some of the same things, or if this is just coincidence, or if it is a twin thing but see if you can figure out what I am talking about in this picture:Yes, they are sleeping in the same position. Heads turned the same way, same arm out, and in almost the same position. This happens pretty often. It is so funny to see them together in the bed, sleeping the same way. I still can't believe that we have twins! So what does a dad do when both his babies are crying? Why strap them both to his chest in a Baby Bjorn, of course! We were getting ready for our weekend trip up to Tennessee when Aaron came strutting in with this get up. I don't think the Baby Bjorn people intended for their product to be used this way. Here are the boys, just chillin' on my bed. They have both had some problems with acid reflux (a common problem in preemies) so they have been on some prescription medicine, and we are supposed to keep them propped up for at least 20 minutes after feedings. That is where the Boppies come in handy. Man, I love those things! (Jonathan is on the left and William is on the right) They fell asleep together in the same Boppy. They are growing so much that they are really too big to fit in the same Boppy together anymore! (Jonathan is on the left and William is on the right.) This picture cracks me up! We call it "Jailbreak." The matress in the boys' crib is angled so that their heads are above their feet (to help with the reflux), which hasn't really been a problem until the other day. I was nursing William and Jonathan was getting super fussy. Well, I just had to let him cry. And my thought was that since he was in his crib, what could really happen? So, when I went in to get him, this is what was going on. He wiggled his legs out of his swaddle, squirmed around and got his legs through the crib slats. No wonder he was so mad! He was totally at the bottom of the crib. I thought it was so funny-him in his striped jail bird outfit, trying to escape the bars of his crib! This is Emma and Jonathan on the bed at my parent's lake house. I thought that Emma looked so pretty in this picture! Just another Jonathan picture. My dad said that William is going to be so mad at me one day when he sees all the funny pictures of him that I have posted all over the internet. I love how little babies sometimes go cross-eyed when they try to focus on something! Okay, okay. Here is a better picture of William. He is so sweet! Lately he hasn't been feeling well, and so I have been holding him quite a bit more. He is really snuggly! For the Memorial Day weekend, we went up to Tennessee. It was the first big outing for the boys, and the first time that some of our family has met the boys. Here we are at the nursery with my dad and their dog, Killer, me, Jonathan in my lap, Emma, my Papa, William, and my Nannie. Emma loved being on the farm, and the boys can't say anything, but I know they really liked their first Gator ride with Papa! (Since this picture I have gotten a little bit of sun and don't look quite so pale!) Now, on to the Emma pictures! Emma likes to get in the crib with the boys sometimes. It helps her to remember that she really is too big to sleep in the crib anymore. Emma watched Aaron do some wakeboarding while we were in Tennessee, and so she rigged up her own way to wakeboard, in the safety of the lakehouse garage! We call it lawn boarding! (And just for the record, they don't really go anywhere, just in case anyone is thinking about how dangerous that looks!) Emma is giving Aaron a pull on the lawn board. She is such a good driver! My dad's nursery catalog has a picture of Emma on the front in a washtub full of flowers when she was a year old. Throughout the catalog, there are pictures of Emma on the farm, so while we were there we took some pictures of her for a new catalog. Here she is, posing. They were too cute not to post! This picture is so hilarious! I laugh everytime I see it! Man, I love that girl!

Those are the pictures from the last two weeks. I may be posting again sometime this week, since the boys have their doctor's appointment tomorrow. I am hoping that they will be about 10 1/2 pounds. I am going to wait another month before I really start taking them out anywhere. There are still things going around (pink eye, fevers, etc.) that I don't want to expose them to, so just to be on the safe side, we are going to chill at home a little longer.

Have a good week everyone!
